PGAMA APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT
After a thorough search for an outstanding candidate to take on new leadership of PGAMA, Chairman Tom Labadie and the search committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Kerry Stackpole to the position of PGAMA President. Kerry will begin a one month transition phase on June 1, 2009.
Kerry has a strong Association background, including his recent work as the managing director of Neoterica Partners, a leadership, strategy and executive transition consulting firm located in McLean, Virginia. Prior to entering private practice, Kerry served as president/CEO and senior executive of four other associations representing printing, electronic imaging, small business and communications technology. He began his association career with Printing Industries of New England as director of education and rose to become vice president for programs and administration.
He has served as volunteer chairman of the New England Society of Association Executives; and national board member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). An active member of ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership he serves on numerous committees, writes articles and presents regularly on the topics of strategy, leadership and organization development.
Recognized by his peers for significant contributions to the association profession he was named a Fellow of ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership in 2000. Mr. Stackpole holds the earned designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE) and is a graduate of the United States Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management (IOM). He earned his Master in Education degree with a focus on management and organization development from Antioch IOE/Cambridge College.
Kerry, his wife Miriam and their two children live in McLean, Virginia.
