Ratios
Deadline Extended-AGAIN!
Printing Industries of America has extended
the deadline for participating in the 2009 Ratios Study to
Monday, May 18. To date, only FIVE PGAMA
members have contributed information to this study. Organizers
are seeking a total of 550 participants, and so far have
only 350. (Printing Industries of the South has the most
participants, with 31.) Don't let another affiliate outshine
us! It is so important to take part in this survey. Plus,
participation earns you a FREE copy of the report of your
choice! (That's a $200 value!) Please, if you have not already
done so, download the files at http://www.margolisbecker.com/Ratio.html.
USPS
Summer Sale for Mailers
The Postal Service Summer Sale has been approved by the
Board of Governors and was submitted on May 1st to the Postal
Regulatory Commission for its review. The sale is really
a rebate program, with mailers paying full postage during
the summer, then receiving a rebate based on their mailing
volume. The USPS will determine the rebate which
each mailer is due, and rebates will be credited to the mailer’s
permit account before December 31, 2009. Other details are
as follows:
- The sale will run from July 1, 2009 through
September 30, 2009
- Mailers who mailed over 1 million Standard
letters and/or flats from 10-1-2007 through 3-31-2008
are eligible to participate
- Mailers
will receive a rebate of 30% on any mail volume in
that period which is over the past threshold
- Mailers’ rebates
will be adjusted if their October 2009 volume is less
than their October 2008 mail volume
Mailers may enroll in the program on the web on or before
July 1, 2009 (URL will be provided once available) after
they receive their eligibility letter. NOTE: Enrolling on
the web means that the mailer accepts the threshold as determined
by USPS or as determined via appeal, whichever is applicable.
