Job Overview:

To work in an effective and supportive manner with the production team to manage and coordinate daily operations and continuous improvement, creating a positive work environment and meeting client’s needs.

Responsibilities:

Manages and oversees all production related operations including pre-press, printing, post press/finishing, QC, shipping and delivery and all related machinery and equipment maintenance.  This person will be responsible for scheduling, prioritizing and delegating work assignments in order to most effectively and efficiently manufacture printed products while meeting our quality standards and meeting customer needs.  This person will be responsible for training, developing and overseeing all production staff, ensuring that all understand and uphold performance standards and follow agreed upon processes.  In addition, this person will work collaboratively with other managers and the entire team to continually improve overall systems and processes to increase efficiency, eliminate operating problems, improve quality and ensure safety and overall quality of life.

The production manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing paper and supply inventory levels, shop floor organization of materials and supplies and overseeing overall cleanliness of the shop floor and overall safety, including but not limited to applicable OSHA standards.

This person will be expected to conduct meetings, facilitate teams, participate in financial meetings and decision making and develop and maintain proper documentation and metric reporting.

 

Qualifications:

1-2 years of management experience.

Ability to effectively manage teams.

Ability to effectively manage projects and ongoing production in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulatory requirements.

Ability to write reports, procedure documents and training materials.

Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables and situations where only limited or no standardization exists…and the ability to teach others to do the same.

Printing Industry experience preferred.

Experience with HP Indigo Digital Presses will be helpful but not required.
